As a kid I used to spend hours perusing my mom’s carefully and lovingly compiled photo albums. I was riveted by what an image could tell me about a person and the moment in his/her life in which the photo was taken. With this series of portraits I tried to replicate that ‘photo album’ feel of capturing a personality and a moment in time. In other words, vignettes: portraits and candid shots of friends and strangers from around the world. I hope you enjoy viewing these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.
